We just returned from a family trip to Conestoga Ranch. The wagons were incredibly clean and comfortable, and the setting was awesome. The staff provided bikes, games, and plenty of space for the kids to run wild (safely!). It was perfect. This place is clearly built for families—every detail was designed to make both kids and parents feel welcome and at ease. We had a blast.Highly recommend Conestoga Ranch to anyone looking for a unique, fun, and memorable experience at Bear Lake!

A very nice facility. Well-maintained area. The showers were very clean. Each cabin also had a sink and a toilet, so you had your own private area and no communal showers. The tents were very cozy and clean. The campfire was absolutely fantastic. Enjoying a cozy evening. There's a supermarket nearby, about a 2-minute drive away. A refrigerator in the tent would have been ideal. Friendly staff

We originally had a reservation at another hotel, but the night before our trip, they contacted us to say they were overbooked. Since we had already finalized our travel plans, we scrambled to find alternative accommodations and were fortunate to find one last available spot at Conestoga Ranch. We arrived at the ranch around 2 PM, although check-in wasn't until 4 PM. Our wagon wasn’t ready yet, so we waited outside the main office, which had refreshingly cool air—a welcome relief from the hot summer day. Thankfully, our wagon was ready by 3 PM. This was our first time staying in a non-hotel, glamping-style setting, and it was quite a unique experience. The wagon was just as described on the website: a large bed, a bunk bed for two, a small table, and two chairs. It was clean and well-maintained. However, note that there is no air conditioning in the wagon. There is a small fan and a heater. While the bed was very comfortable, the wagon becomes extremely hot from noon to around 7 PM—it’s best to plan outdoor activities during this time. In contrast, it stays cool in the morning and quite cold overnight. We never used the heater, but they did provide very warm and cozy blankets. Conestoga Ranch offers free bicycles and outdoor games, but both could use some updating. The bikes are functional and well-maintained but clearly outdated. Some games are still in good shape, but many were broken. That said, the playground was a big hit with the kids, they had a blast running around outside. The ranch has multiple tents with charcoal grills available for guest use. The staff were incredibly friendly and responsive—they quickly answered our texts to help us start and put out the fire pits. There was plenty of parking available. Bathrooms are shared, but we never felt unsafe walking to them, even at night, despite it being very dark and quiet. The low light at night also makes this a fantastic place for stargazing—the night sky was breathtaking. Additional amenities include horseback riding nearby and morning yoga classes (note: yoga is not complimentary). One thing to keep in mind is that beach towels are not provided in the wagon. If you forget yours, you can rent some from the office. The ranch is conveniently located near both the marina and downtown, and we often biked there with ease. Overall, staying in a wagon was a memorable and unique experience compared to a typical hotel stay. It’s a fun option for families and anyone looking to try something new.

From the moment we arrived we got awesome service. Gavin drove us to out tent and even built us a fire and gave us a s’mores kit! Exceptional service, beautiful grounds and facilities. Cute tents and waitstaff! Our waiter Casey (who doesn’t want a cute cowboy waiter) gave us great service & drinks. Pizza was amazing! Also the arugula salad was great too. Hopefully we’ll be back, it’s a bit of a drive from Montana but the place is so nicely done! Great place by Bear Lake

If I could give this a 10+ plus plus I would. Came here with my sister and nieces for a few days of relaxation and this is one of the best choices we made. The people that work here are beyond helpful, friendly, and just downright treat you perfect. We stayed in the big tent for six people that has a bathroom. The beds were super comfy, the bathroom is adorable and it has a little pellet fireplace inside. Here are some of the absolute pluses; they have a fire valet that you can text and let them know that you would like a fire in your fire pit and like within a minute they’re at your door starting a fire for you. They brought us little packets to make s’mores, and when our fire went out, and I had to text him, embarrassed to say that the fire went out within a minute they were back to make the fire up again. There is a restaurant on site and the food is amazing. We’ve been there a few times and we’ve had the same server, she is absolutely adorable and about as sweet as she can be. For dinner on our last night, we got the New York steak and the Smash burger and it is an understatement to tell you how incredibly delicious it was. Though you are not right on the lake, there is access nearby. We rented a pontoon boat from a nearby marina, and again the service was fantastic and our day was absolutely perfect. After we return the boat, we drove down to Rendezvous Beach, which is about 10 miles down the road, and spent a few hours down there. It’s an absolute beautiful sandy beach. We will definitely be back again and we cannot thank you enough for making the last few days of our girls trip. Spectacular.

Our stay at Conestoga Ranch was nothing short of amazing! We booked one of the luxury teepees and were blown away by how clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed it was. The teepee offered the perfect blend of rustic charm and modern comfort — spotless interior, cozy beds, and surprisingly spacious. It felt like glamping at its finest! The atmosphere throughout the ranch is warm, welcoming, and truly one-of-a-kind. You get the Wild West vibes with every modern amenity you could need. One of the highlights of our stay was the on-site restaurant — Campfire Grill. The food was absolutely delicious, with a great variety of options and quality that exceeded our expectations. The service was friendly and attentive, and the ambiance made every meal feel special. Whether you’re looking for a unique family getaway, a romantic glamping escape, or just a fun stop on a road trip, Conestoga Ranch delivers. We can’t wait to come back!
